We keep this simple because our tools are simple. CookChook does not require an account and does not store the figures you type into our calculators.

The data you enter

Calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are never sent to or saved on our servers. When you use a “copy shareable link” feature, your inputs are encoded into the link itself — so anything you share is something you chose to share, and it still isn't stored by us.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand which tools are used and to fix problems. This measures page views and general usage; it is not used to identify you personally.

Affiliate & sponsored links

Some pages contain affiliate or sponsored links to services relevant to food businesses (for example equipment financing, insurance, or point-of-sale systems). These are marked as sponsored. If you sign up or buy through one of these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We only list partners we consider relevant, and a commission never changes the figures or recommendations in a tool.
